Mr. Toller has written to Miss Patching (Curtis Brown) as following: “I cannot judge from here whether it is advisable that the Gate Theatre does ‘Masses and Men’, but I should like to hear from you whether a performance in The Gate Theatre will favor not hinder the performance in a greater theatre. At any rate I should like you to talk this over with Mr. Ivor Montagu, 20, Old Buildings, Lincoln’s Inn, W. C. 2, & to make a decision with him.”
