Henry Seidel Canby, Esq.,

25 West 45th Street

New York.

My dear Mr. Seidel Canby: –

Please accept my most sincere thanks for the splendid affidavit which you were kind enough to send me and which I feel will do much toward facilitating my immigration into this country, which I am learning to admire more and more each day.

California still continues to fascinate me and the weather after several days of heavy rainfalls leaves nothing to be desired just now.

I have entered upon my assignment at MGM and hope work will continue to be as pleasant as it has begun.

Please remember me to Mrs. Seidel Canby; I still think with deep gratitude of her great kindness to Mrs. Toller during my absence.

With renewed thanks and very kindest personal greetings,

Sincerely yours,

Ernst Toller.

ET: SS.

I know you will be glad to hear that McClintic has accepted “Blind Man’s Buff” for production middle of April.
