My dear Mr. Clark,
I shall be glad if you handle my play. The situation is as follows: I have no contract at all but I asked a few weeks ago, through my London agent, Mr. Madden to handle the professional rights. The amateur rights are free and your organisation is the only one that is entitled to represent me. No other contract exists.
My former German publisher has no longer any rights at all.
Sincerely yours
Ernst Toller.
