Dear Hermon,
Thank you so very much for your letter of 27th May. I had hoped to see you on Tuesday and was very sorry that you were not there.
I have not yet received an announcement of the next P.E.N. dinner and I would be grateful to you if you could let me have it. I cannot yet say, whether I will be able to come, for a new play of mine is being produced at the Gate and rehearsals will take place during the day and during the evening. Of course, I shall do all I can to come!
