Thank you so much for your kind letter. I agree with your suggestion that publisher Knopf shall have time till December 28th for reflecting his decision; of course I prefer to get the decision sooner and cabled.
The book is offered only to one publisher besides Knopf; I shall wait till Knopf made up his mind even if the other would take the book.
