Ernst Toller

1. Lambolle Road,

London N. W. 3.

November 23rd, 1934.

Dear Comrade,

I tried very hard to make it possible to lecture 26th, 27th etc. But I have other appointments and on Dec. 3rd will be the first performance of “The Blind Goddess“ at Welwyn Garden City.

Every day after December 7th would be convenient for me. (From December 7th to January 6th I shall stay in Gloucestershire, near Oxford.)

If that would not suit you it will be necessary to postpone the lecture – which I would very much enjoy to take – to the next term.

As subject I suggest “The Modern German Theatre“ or as shorter lecture “The 20. anniversary of War and the problem of Non-Violence”. The latter with discussion.

Once more, forgive me that I could not accept the proposed dates.

Yours fraternally
