10 sheets of “The transfiguration”,

10   ”      ”    “Mary Baker-Eddie” (Miracle in America.) and

10   ”      ”    “Draw the fires”,

and some copies of “The Blind Goddess”.

Tomorrow I shall send you several criticisms.

Monday-night I talked with Jean Forbes-Robertson and Peter Godfrey. Jean Forbes-Robertson still would like to perform the Anna of “The Blind Goddess”, but Peter Godfrey cannot give me a definite date. So I told him that I would postpone the performance, if he would fix up a contract for the “The Blind Goddess”. I cannot wish me a better thing than a performance of “The Blind Goddess” with Jean Forbes-Robertson under the management of Peter Godfrey. Will you please, occasionally refer to this and try to get a decision?

A starring performance by Jean Forbes-Robertson in the Westminster-Theatre seems to me impossible, because she only acts under her own management in the Royalty-Theatre.

Of course it would be good to get as soon as possible a decision of Mr. J. Baxter Somerville.

Yesterday I got a letter from Manchester Repertory Theatre. (Mr. F. E. Doran.) Mr Doran invited me, to put one of my plays on the stage in the Manchester Repertory Theatre. He offered me 15 Gns. fees. Though the fee is very small I shall agree. The contract for the play would have to be fixed up with you. I am not quite sure which of my plays I shall choose and would be glad if you could give me an advice.
