June 30th, 1934.

Dear Mr. Marshall,

Thank you very much for your letter. I would be pleased indeed, if your theatre would produce one of my new plays. Up to now “The blind Goddess” has been published in England. The collection volume which will be published in autumn will contain the following works, which are unknown in England:

“Transformation”

“Miracle in America”

“Draw the fires”

I guess my translator will be in the possession of typing-copies. His address is:

Edward Crankshaw, 120 Fellows Road, London N. W.

Telephone: Primrose 3225.

The collection volume has already been sent to the press and the first proofs will be ready shortly.

With this letter, I send you the “Blind Goddess”. The play had a great success in Vienna. The rehearsals in Berlin and Hamburg had already begun when Hitler came into power and made the performances impossible. Perhaps you have read the critiques in “Era” and “Stage”.

Yours very sincerely
