Dear Sir,
I have received your letter from 1st Febr. only to-day owing to an unfortunate accident. I very much regret this delay and hope you will excuse it. I was away from England for several weeks and your letter was retained in Paris; this is the only reason, why you have not heard from me.
It would give me the greatest pleasure to come to you, but I must ask you, not to suggest dates before next term.
I would propose the theme “the German Theatre”. My usual fee is five guin. and travelling expenses.
