Richard Reich is a young Austrian playwright who is living in New York since six months. He has written a number of plays, of which Max Reinhardt has produced one (entitled “Orchester” with Albert Bassermann playing the central part), and the Burgtheater another one (entitled “Nordland”). These and other plays have also been performed in Scandinavia, Chechoslowakia and other countries.
Mr. Reich, who is without any financial means, has the opportunity to prepare a play for the American stage in collaboration with an American author. To enable the continuance of his work I recommend strongly to consider an eventual help.
Ernst Toller.
