Again I have to thank you for your unfailing readiness to help. I wish I could see you in the near future to discuss the question with you.
I am a bit reluctant at the moment to approach the R. Em. Co., as I think there may be people who are in even greater urgent need. What I really hoped for was the chance to work quietly for a number of months.
I do not understand at all why the Guggenheim Foundation refused my application. Have you any idea what the reason can be? It would really interest me.
