Dear Dick:

I am returning the letter of Mr. Altman. He is an exiled German director, but I would not send him “Pastor Hall”. I think you had better just write him that you are working toward a production in New York, but that you would be willing to send him other plays of mine.

When he consulted me I had proposed to him the new version of “Drawing the Fires”.
