In the absence of Mr. Ernst Toller, who is at present on a lecture tour, I take pleasure in acknowledging receipt of your kind invitation to attend the annual dinner of The Incorporated Society of Authors, Playwrights and Composers on December 3rd. Mr. Toller has been in the United States for several months and therefore must forego the pleasure of attending the dinner, which I am sure he will very much regret.
